Alison Luthmers Teyssler – viool
Canadian-American violinist Alison Luthmers Teyssier received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Colburn School in Los Angeles, and went on to pursue her long-standing love of Baroque violin. She now performs on both Baroque and modern violin, playing with groups such as Concerto Copenhagen (Denmark), Barokksolistene (Norway), Ensemble Zimmermann (Denmark), Arte dei Suonatori (Poland), the Malmö Symphony Orchestra (Sweden), and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (UK) as part of the OAE Experience for Young Players 2014. She has performed in festivals such as Midsommer Barok (Denmark), Utrecht Fringe Festival (Netherlands), Tröllhattan Tidig Musik-Dagar (Sweden) and Spitalfields Music (UK). Courses attended include Urbino Musica Antica and Vancouver Early Music, where she studied with Enrico Gatti and Marc Destrube respectively. On modern violin, she has participated in festivals such as Aspen Music Festival, Music Academy of the West and the Oregon Bach Festival.
