Delbert Bernabela – saxofoon
Woodwind specialist with over 30 years of stage experience in the Caribbean, Venezuela, the USA and Europe.
Born on the island of Aruba. After high school he attended Berklee College of music, Boston USA. In 1984 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in professional music.

Immediately after college Delbert began working in several showbands in various hotels restaurants on his native island.
With a performance career spanning over wel over 30 years Delbert has appeared with, The Aruba Art Ensemble, Cuarteto Clave Jazz, Arturo Sandoval, Dutch Swing College Band, Cubop bigband, De Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, Kirk Whalum, Roy Hargrove, Abel Marcel the multiple tours in the USA, Venezuela and Europe. Delbert plays a fusion of afro Caribbean traditions and jazz
Performed on numerous occasions for the Dutch Royal family.
Currently living in the Netherlands, where he teaches masterclasses/workshops on saxophone, flute and improvisation. Leader of several duo and quartet projects. To name a few, “Threesome”, “Cafe con Leche” , “Forward Motion”
