Prach Boondiskulchok – fortepiano
Thai-British pianist/fortepianist Prach Boondiskulchok is much in demand as
a versatile and a distinctive chamber musician, soloist, composer and
director. From the onset of his career, Prach has specialized in chamber
music, the music of the Classical period, and new music. He is the founder
member of the Linos Piano Trio, which won the Royal Philharmonic Society
Frost Prize in 2014, and won the first and audience prizes at Melbourne
International Chamber Music Competition in 2015.
Prach’s busy performing schedule has taken him to many prestigious venues
and festivals including Wigmore Hall, Barbican Hall, Royal Festival Hall,
St John’s Smith Square, Purcell Room, Schoenberg Centre (Vienna), Thailand
Cultural Centre (Bangkok), IMS Open Chamber Music (Prussia Cove, UK), Viana
Festival (Portugal) and the Birdfoot Chamber Music Festival (New Orleans,
USA).
His youthful performance of Bach Sinfonias at the Royal Festival Hall was
praised by the Independent as “ecstatic… would have been a high point in
any recital program”. More recently Prach has received critical acclaim
in The Strad, The Times and The Times-Picayune.
