Geelvinck Pianoforte Festival 2013: ‘De Toekomstige Generatie Pianisten op de Fortepiano en Tafelpiano’, 10 – 16 jaar
Masterclass voor jongeren op de tafelpiano door Pegasus School for Early Music in Museum Geelvinck. aanvang 11.15 uur tot 12.15 uur.
Masterclass voor pianospelende jongeren om kennis te maken met de pianoforte. De masterclass duurt een uur. Daarin worden maximaal 4 deelnemers door Hila Katz (Pegasus School for Early Music) begeleid in hun eerste kennismaking met de pianoforte. Daarbij wordt gebruik gemaakt van historische pianofortes, waarop ze echt mogen spelen. Het is de bedoeling, dat ieder van de masterclass-deelnemers samen met tenminste één begeleider komt (liefst een ouder). Broertjes, zusjes, vriendjes, opa’s, oma’s, ooms en tantes mogen natuurlijk ook mee. De kennismaking met de pianoforte is inspirerend voor jong en oud. Voertaal is Engels.

Geelvinck Pianoforte Festival 2013 – Master Class on Fortepiano and Historic Squares for ages 10-16
One hour master class, 12 October 2013, beginning at 11.15 o’clock.
Hila Katz, harpsichordist and manager of Pegasus School for Early Music, will guide four participants in their first encounter with historical keyboard instruments. All participants get a chance to play on the historical instruments and receive coaching on a piece of their choice.
The master class is given in English and open to the general public and music lovers of all ages – the introduction to the historical pianoforte is inspiring for both young and old!
Participants up to the age of 14 must have at least one adult supervisor present (preferably a parent). Friends and relatives are welcome to join.
A copy of the chosen piece needs to be submitted by 30 September 2013.

Hila Katz, founder and manager of Pegasus School, is a specialist performer on early keyboard instruments. Her passion for the music of J. S. Bach, performed on period instruments, led her from the piano to the harpsichord and clavichord. She completed her Master’s Degree in Harpsichord Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, and continued to specialize in the Late Renaissance/Early Baroque period at Trinity College of Music. Besides having performed a wide range of repertoire on the harpsichord both as soloist and within ensembles/orchestras, Hila also composes original music for the harpsichord inspired by the English and Italian Renaissance as well as both the French and German Baroque.
