Luciana Cueto
The mezzo-soprano Luciana Cueto began her vocal training in Buenos Aires (Argentina), where she studied at the Conservatorio Municipal Manuel de Falla. In 2001 Luciana began her studies in Europe at the Early Vocal Music Department in the Brabants Conservatorium.
In 2006 she graduated from this school obtaining her teaching and singing diploma. During her studies she had lessons by Dr. Rebecca Stewart, taking as well privet singing lessons with the mezzo-soprano Xenia Maejer. She participated in master classes and singing lessons with Emma Kirkby, Gabriel Garrido, Maurice van Lieshout, Rosa Domínguez, Patrizia Bovi, Paula de Wit, Juan Carlos Asensio, Lavinia Bertotti, etc. She has performed with numerous ensembles including Elyma (conducted by Gabriel Garrido) Scholla Cantorum Bravantie (conducted by Rebecca Stewart), Utrecht Oude Music Festival Choir and Música Temprana (conducted by Adrián Rodríguez Van der Spoel), Egidius Kwartet and the ensembles Delphin de Música, So el Ençina and Virdung (that performs early vocal music from Spain).
Luciana’s particular interest in polyphony a s well as early vocal music and folk. As complementary subjet of her music education, Luciana studied viola da gamba with Paulina van Laarhoeven. She has performed in prestigious halls and international festivals like Ambronay, Oude Muziek Utrecht (Netherlands) “Misiones de Chiquitos”(Bolivia), Cité de la Musique (Paris), Edinburgh’s International Festival, Montpellier’s Early Music Festival, etc.

Op zaterdagavond 25 juni om 20.00 uur geeft Luciana Cuente samen met Kauro Iwamura, tafelpiano, en Cécile Rongen, klarinet, uitvoering aan een nieuwe compositie van Hans Bakker.
