Rebecca Huber
Rebecca Huber (USA) is a violinist specializing in early music. She studied at the Oberlin Music Conservatory, graduating with a Bachelor in Music, where she studied violin performance with Almita and Roland Vamos, Milan Vitek, and Marilyn McDonald.
Since 2004, Rebecca has attended the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Netherlands, studying baroque violin with Kati Debrezeni, Catherine Mackintosh and Elizabeth Wallfisch. During her studies, she has performed extensively throughout Europe as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral musician.
Rebecca has attended various summer festivals such as “Oberlin in Italy”, Milan Vitek’s summer academy in the Czech Republic, the Casalmaggiore festival in Italy, the Baroque Performance Institute, Dartington International summer school, and Darmstadt summer academy.
Rebecca has worked with numerous orchestras in Europe such as The Sixteen, the Wallfisch Band, and the Bach Orchestra of the Netherlands. She also has had many opportunities to lead as concertmaster of orchestras for different projects and has performed an extensive amount of repertoire leading ensembles, including Lanciani’s Oratorio, Purcell’s Fairy Queen, Gluck’s Iphegine en Aulide, Handel’s Alexander’s Feast and Saul, Bach’s Magnificat and Christmas Oratorio, among other works.
Rebecca also has performed extensively as a chamber musician and soloist. In the last few years she has performed with His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts, as a soloist in the Leiden Festival performing Bach violin concertos, in the Czech Republic performing a Vivaldi concerto, at the university of Mannheim premiering a work for baroque violin by Manfred Stahnke and in Chile performing Leclair and Bach concertos as well as several chamber music programs. Upcoming projects include performances in the Barcelona fringe festival, a concert in France with Catherine Mackintosh, and a tour of Chile leading and performing all of the Brandenburg concertos in January 2012.

Donderdagavond 30 juni om 20.00 uur speelt het trio Ula Danielewicz – pianoforte, Rebecca Huber – viool en Anna Jankowska – cello het Klaviertrio van Ludwig van Beethoven het klaviertrio opus 1, nr. 1, alsmede Fantasia in A major (Wq. 58/6) van Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach en Sonata in F major (KV 533) van Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
