TWEEDE PINKSTERDAGCONCERT OM 15.00 UUR
Maandag 16 mei biedt de Stichting Kasteelconcerten u weer een concert aan in de prachtige ontvangsthal van Huis Singraven.
Er wordt muziek gespeeld van de 18de eeuwse componist Giovanni Paisiello, naast de sprankelende melodiën van tijdgenoot Johann Nepomuk Hummel, uitgevoerd door Izhar Elias op klassiek gitaar, Alon Sariel op mandoline en Michael Tsalka op fortepiano.
Dit trio heeft in december 2015 een alom bejubelde CD uitgebracht, ‘Paisiello’ (Brilliant Classics),
Het instrument waarop Michael Tsalka speelt is een Zahler fortepiano vleugel, Wenen, ca. 1805 (bruikleen van Gijs Wilderom). Alon Sariel speelt op een mandoline uit 1850 en Izhar Elias musiceert op een Guadagnini gitaar uit 1812.

Musici
Alon Sariel (mandolin): As both mandolinist and lutenist, Alon Sariel divides his time between his dedication to contemporary music, premiering dozens of works dedicated to him, and his immense passion for early music and historically informed performance. Mr. Sariel is the winner of numerous international awards, among them first prizes at the Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber (AU), Ernst Bloch (UK) and Raffaele Calace (IT) competitions.
Alon Sariel has given lectures and master classes in Israel, the United States and Europe, in institutions such as the Trinity Collage of Music (London), Lilla Akademien (Stockholm), Kazan State Conservatory (Russia) and the Cambridge Performance Master Classes. Since his move to Europe in 2010, Mr. Sariel has been engaged in different socio-political projects such as the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra (Daniel Barenboim), Live Music Now (Yehudi Menuhin), Rhapsody in School (Lars Vogt). www.alon-sariel.com
Izhar Elias (guitar): Izhar Elias is specialist in early music, chamber music and new music for guitar. He has given concerts, lectures, and masterclasses, and been the soloist in concertos with renowned orchestras, in Europe, Russia, south-east Asia and Australia. Izhar has won many national and international competitions. In 2011 he won the prestigious Dutch Music Prize, the highest musical award given by the Dutch government. Through extensive research, he has been able to recreate a musical language of the Baroque, Classic and Romantic periods using original instruments and historical methods. Izhar Elias has premiered over 50 works. In addition he mixes different artistic disciplines in his collaborations with choreographers, experimental film makers and theatre directors. www.izharelias.com
Michael Tsalka (fortepiano and harpsichord):
Winner of multiple prizes and grants, acclaimed Dutch/Israeli early keyboard performer and pianist Michael Tsalka is a versatile musician, who performs solo and chamber music repertoire from the Baroque era to our days. After studies in Israel, Germany and Italy, he graduated in 2008 from Temple University (U.S.A) with a D.M.A. in Piano Performance and an Masters degrees in Early Keyboard Performance and Chamber Music. Dr. Tsalka maintains a busy concert schedule, making presentations in Europe, the U.S.A., Canada, Asia, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.
He has recorded sixteen CDs for the labels NAXOS/Grand Piano, Paladino Vienna, Brilliant Classics and Ljud & Bild Stockholm. Dr. Tsalka has been the artistic director of festivals in Mainland China, Sweden and Finland.
